The implementation of professional rehabilitation services following a life altering injury is essential to ensuring you or your loved one will have the best possible outcome towards a full and active life. Choosing a suitable rehabilitation support worker is a critical decision when initiating an individual’s rehabilitation programming. Anchor ensures this selection is customised to the unique needs of each individual with highly experienced Rehabilitation Therapists.
Under the direction of regulated health care professionals, and through the implementation of community based rehab programing, Anchor’s associates provide key support for individuals that have acquired brain injuries, mental health difficulties, behavioural difficulties and complex medical needs. Anchor associates will help you navigate your way through the difficult process of developing and implementing the best plan of action. Documentation of objective observations aimed at clarifying the client’s physical, mental and emotional impairments provide vital data driven information that can help the client and rehabilitation team define a clear path of treatment.
Rehab programming is designed to facilitate successes for critical objectives as defined by the treatment team. This programming may include; behaviour interventions, physiotherapy, community integration, life skills training, job coaching, speech and language goals, academia and functional occupational therapy programming.
Due to new legislative changes regarding non-catastrophic and catastrophic impairment definitions in the Statutory Benefits Schedule (SABS) in 2016, it’s more important than ever for rehabilitation support workers to provide documentation that can assist treatment teams as well as legal counsel to provide a well defined picture of the client’s functional status following their accident. Anchor Rehab provides this evidence by way of weekly progress notes that highlight the areas of strengths of the rehab programming as well as those that may require modification to support each client’s unique needs. Anchor’s progress notes and in-depth progress reports, provide a comprehensive overview of the client’s rehab programming.
