1 Day Training - Social Skills Boot Camp

Service Description

Participants in these boot camps will receive training from our social skills facilitators on how to be an effective social coach. Boot camps will teach participants to address targeted social skills through an ecologically valid manner using didactic instruction, positive modelling and role plays with feedback. Teaching methods and techniques will be broken down, including a discussion on how to structure group or individual social skills training programs for maximum engagement and outcomes. Participants will practice their teaching skills on each other with feedback provided by our social coaches, so they leave confident and competent in their teaching skills. Each Bootcamp will cover four to five social skill lessons related to the Boot Camp topic including content that social coaches can use with their learners. Worksheets and PPT decks will be shared with participants following the training. Participants will be provided with a certificate of completion at the end of the boot camp following successful knowledge test and competency demonstration of skill.
